I appreciate your perspective, but I think you may be misinterpreting the passage. It is not saying they are separate. The passage is acknowledging the learning's of yesterday and the consequences of tomorrow. However, if you spend the majority of your time in those places especially in an unhealthy manner focusing on fear, apprehension and regret you will either miss today or make unhealthy choices today based on that "worry."

You can see that happenning with the same topics you bring up in your comments. Politicians and activists regret losing or focus so much on the need to win they do not solve problems. They try and put notches on their belts. The car companies going belly up is a great example of this. Unions and management both behaving badly while watching the ship go down. The truth is when you act out of fear the very thing you fear most comes true.

Sorry, but I do not agree a bit.

Yesterday is gone, but it is really not, as the cycle is without interruptions. The consequences and the results of what was done yesterday are here, today, and our actions today are definitely a product of what has happened and what we did yesterday and the day before. If we have made mistakes, we should try to change the results. It's not called guilt or regret, but awareness, responsibility and good will.

Tomorrow can be prepared. What would be all of us fighting for green environments and smoke banning and wars avoiding if we were not keenly aware that what we do today has tremendous ripercussions on what will happen tomorrow?

The beauty, challenge and hardship of life is precisely that we are all interconnected, and time is as well.
